Ferrari Unveils Purosangue, Its First-Ever Four-Door, Four-Seater

Groundbreaking New Model Marries Performance with Increased Space

Maranello, Italy – Ferrari has unveiled the Purosangue, its first-ever four-door, four-seater car, marrying increased space with the company's famed performance. The Purosangue, which means "thoroughbred" in Italian, is a high-performance car that combines the power and handling of a Ferrari with the functionality of a four-door sedan.

History of Ferrari's Two-Rear-Seat Models

While this is the first four-seater, four-door car in Ferrari's history, models with two rear seats have played a significant role in the company's past. The 400 and 412 models of the 1970s and 1980s were two-seater coupes with a small rear seat, while the 612 Scaglietti of the late 2000s featured a more spacious rear seating area. These models paved the way for the Purosangue, which offers full-sized rear seats and a spacious cabin.

Performance and Design

The Purosangue is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 715 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful four-door cars on the market. The engine is mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, and the Purosangue can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Despite its size, the Purosangue handles like a true Ferrari, with a stiff suspension and responsive steering.

Luxury and Comfort

Inside, the Purosangue is as luxurious as it is powerful. The cabin is fitted with high-quality materials, including leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. The front seats are heated and ventilated, and the rear seats offer plenty of legroom and headroom. The Purosangue also features a state-of-the-art infotainment system with a large touchscreen display.
