Funeral of Corlys Velaryon
Lady Marilda of Hull and her son Alyn Velaryon set sail from Corlyss to Driftmark on the Mermaids Kiss. Corlys's remains were laid to rest at sea east of Dragonstone.
Corlys's Lineage and Sons
Corlys Velaryon was a knight from House Velaryon, the son of Daemon Velaryon, Lord of the Tides and Master of Driftmark. He was the younger brother of Laenor Velaryon.
Laenor Velaryon was Corlys's only son with Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, heir to Driftmark, and the first husband of Rhaenyra Targaryen.
The recent revelation that Alyn and Addam are sons of Corlys Velaryon has raised questions about their maternity. Corlys and Rhaenys have not yet commented on the matter.
Ser Laenor Velaryon and Rhaenyra's Marriage
Corlys's son Ser Laenor Velaryon, played by Theo Nate and John Macmillan in House of the Dragon Season 1, married Rhaenyra Targaryen, the heir to the Iron Throne.
