Belgian Grand Prix: Verstappen Wins, Leclerc Leads From the Start
Pole Position and a Fast Start for Leclerc
Charles Leclerc of Ferrari claimed pole position for the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Sergio Perez of Red Bull starting alongside him on the front row. At the start of the race, Leclerc held onto the lead, while Hamilton and Perez both made strong starts to stay in contention.
Verstappen's Victory Drive
As the race progressed, Max Verstappen of Red Bull emerged as the frontrunner. He made a series of impressive overtakes and eventually took the lead on lap 12. Verstappen maintained his advantage throughout the race, ultimately taking the checkered flag for his 13th Grand Prix victory of the 2023 season.
Leclerc finished in second place, followed by George Russell of Mercedes in third. Russell had adopted a one-stop strategy, but it ultimately proved unsuccessful as he was unable to catch Verstappen in the closing laps.
